PRESENT PERFECT SIMPLE


Hello my dear students of 2º ESO:


In this post we are going to learn about the Present Perfect Simple in order to be able to do the activities 1, 2 and 3 of pages 152 and 153 of the Student's Book.



The most important aspects of this topic of grammar we have to keep in mind are:

1. Use: 


The present perfect simple tense is used to describe something that happened in the past, but the exact time it happened is not important. It has a relationship with the present.

2. Structure:

3.  The past participle of verbs (what goes after have or has)

  •  Regular verbs: we add -ed to the verb. Example: play-played
We have to be careful with the changes of some verbs when we add -ed.



  •  Irregular verbs: 3rd column of the list of irregular verbs which you have at the end of your Workbook or in the following link:

4. Time expressions used with the Present Perfect Simple:
